“ pho thin is famous for their hanoi style pho with their signature dish being the rare beef pho which is actually a bowl of pho topped with stir fry beef! their broth is clean and tasty - you can definitely tell there was technique and no shortcuts taken with this broth! dont expect any hoisin sauce to be available - this allows you to truly appreciate its natural flavours i personally thought their pho was alright but i wasn't blown away. dont get me wrong, it was tasty but i think im just used to the southern style as that's what iv grown up with this place has both indoor and outdoor seating and can get quite packed during peak times! parking is always a struggle when in springvale so be prepared to look for parking! ”

It came with blanched bean sprouts (commonly found in Southern Vietnam), Northern-style chili sauce, pickled garlic in vinegar, hoisin sauce (typically used in the South), fresh chili, and lime—probably to let diners customize the flavor to their liking. The broth was tasty, the fried dough sticks were great, and the added young chicken egg was a bit pricey for the portion size. The only thing that made it different from phở in Vietnam was the noodles—they weren’t freshly made daily but instead were dried phở noodles. ”

I ordered the rare beef Pho (Hanoi style). It was $16.50. Overall, it was delicious. The darker soup has a distinctive, stronger flavour due to the infusion with the fried beef strips. Quality is still there. Recommended by my Vietnamese hair dresser to try the Pho from North Vietnam. Beef is stirred fried before adding to MSG-free soup. Give all ingredients a good stir before tucking in. ”
